Change FX on a layer by Widget designer

Postby rubendesnoo » Tue Aug 23, 2016 2:02 pm

Hi,

I have a project were I would like to use a live input, and a lot of different FX on this layer.
I dont have control over the server's GUI, so I use a Widget designer pro system.

How do I change these effects, with widget designer?
I tried some scripts with the costum script button, but it doesn't work.

Later on I would like to change the parameters of these effects, how do I control these with Widget designer? Maybe with a fader control?

Or do I need to make a layer for each effect in this case?

best regards

I've found the easiest way to do this is to use "Lighting Console FX"

This gives you a drop down menu of effects you can use.

After you have that added, you just have to type in exactly word for word the effect you want to load into a button or drop down menu in WD.

Let me know if this helps at all...

Hi Ruben,
you can use the command 'DeviceSetParam' if you want to use scripts or you can adress e.g. faders directly to fx parameters. You'll have to adress them in this syntax: FXname|FXparameter
