Timecode of Video

Postby judith » Tue Oct 17, 2017 7:41 pm

Hello There,

'Using Rev 13378.

Is there a option to see the Video Timcode running of Videos in Containers in Free Run Mode?

I need to know how far the playback is right now. Even better would be a reverse timecode until the file end like QLab shows.

When i use the Tab "Devices" there is the video Timecode of the single videos running, but it stops when the timeline hold a pause cue.
While the Free Run Mode Video is playing..
It is a bug?

Is there a Option in WD to monitor timecode of Free Run Videos in PB Manager?
Or should I upgrade to V6 to have this TC-monitoring option?

Thanks a lot for your suggestions!
Best, Judith

Hello Judith,

At the moment there is no way to see the Timecode of running clips in freerun.
Even in V6 you can't see it.

The only way I know is to have the file on a second timeline in lock to time and have a jump at the end, or have a freerun container and have a jump cue at the end to the beginning to ged a position, or a widged designer script timer and count the seconds.

Or If you have 2 free video layer you can use the widget designer playlist.

Best,
Benni

Bump as a request for this... It is something I run into every year or so and makes programming really annoying.
