Audio playback issue

I'm having a strange issue with PB V5.7. All of a sudden, every audio file is "inconsistent". Even though I have red exclamation points everywhere, pre-existing audio files that have worked in the past still seem to work fine. When I add new wav files, though I'm getting weird results. When put them on he timeline, they show up as very short files. If I"adopt media duration" they set to 1 frame. If I drag out the end point, I do get playback, but no matter where I start the playback from on the timeline, the wav plays from the beginning. It's like it's not "locked to time"....except it is. Any thoughts?

Looks like you installed Audio Codecs on the system have changed, so that Pandoras Box is no longer able to analyse the audio files.
Did you install any other software? Did you uninstall anything?

What kind of Audio Files are we talking about? PCM Wave on ASIO Tracks? MP3?
