Hi,

to interface with GrandMA lighting consoles, please enable the MA-Net in this way:

- Go to the Configuration Tab, section GrandMA
- Choose your GrandMA Series from the drop down list
- Press "Run MA-Net".

Please note that MA-Net supports up to 64 DMX universes that can be patched in the patch tab.

Best regards,
Julia

Thanks for your reply Julie.
I have configured pandora 4-5.
Settings grand ma series 1 & 2 Version 6.123
Run Manet.

It does not work.
I guess something will be done on the console Grand Ma?

A greeting

Hi,
I tested your setup some times and it works fine.
You have to pay attention in TCP/IP config of your Manager: you have to set it to 192.168.0.xxx (different than the console address) and you have to Start Session on the desk in Tools section -->MA Network Configuration.
Another thing...in the new PB release you have to activate you pathc using "All Patched" or marking layers that you need and then click Assign to confirm.
I hope this help you.
Bye

Ok thanks for the reply.

Have been working with Grand Ma and Pandora by Arnet:

In Grand Ma -> Path Assign each layer / camera Pandora an address:

G.235 = Universe / Ch ...

Then from the DMX output configuration for ethernet I make the :

universe G ->is the subnet 2 ID 0.

In Pandora assigned to the layer / camera the same values:

Layer X -> ch 235 Subnet 2 ID 0.

But the question is:
I get that pandora know that Universe is for each layer / camera using Ma Net?

Do not give any id to each universe to pandora to discriminate against them?

Pandora is (not arnet type 2.xxx range) but the same grand Ma IP address type 192.168.0.X.
Grand Ma is open session ID 1.

Thanks

ok thank you very much for your help.

If you use the default pandora patch that uses the first two universes and Grand Ma do you use the same universe 1 and 2 (a, B). no problem everything works.

In my case I was using the universes 4 and 7 Grand Ma and clear to do the patch on Pandora. Given that the universe pandora 0 Ma is 1.

The patch in so pandora

layer 1 channel 1 universe 3
...
layer 16 channel x universe 6

And now this.

was logical but sometimes one gets stuck.

Until next query thanks.

I was having a problem with this too...
I had initially patched ONE Media Player PRO fine with MA net. I then patched 4 into it, with only the first 5 layers and the camera. Only the first unit worked with MA net - every value on the other 3 units was set to 0 -they were all active.
Patching them this way you can fit the first 3 in one universe, and the last one goes in its own.

After troubleshooting for a little while - making sure the first unit could be controled by the console and ensuring that everything was patched correctly, I went into the console and started Artnet and did the same in the Media Manager, and it all worked perfectly fine.

I hope this input helps.

Thanks
