Full screen startup Client Player

Hi,

We had to downgrade our players to version 3694 because the newer one kept on crashing.
The only problem we have now is that even when you click the "start fullscreen at startup" button it doens't start in fullscreen mode. It is a bit difficult and unrealistic to manually put them (15 players!) in fullscreen.

Any idea what the problem might be?

Hi,

from what Version did you downgrade? The 3694 is the latest release version. There is no higher version released yet.

If you choos the 3694 an select open in "Full Screen Mode" it should work. If it does not it might be that the other Version is installed in the same directory and that the fullscreen information is not written in the right path. So please check that you deinstall the unsused Versions.

Are you using the PB Menue Software on the client cimputers? If so, please make sure that you have the latest release if it. Using the PB Menue Software you can also set the client to Auto Start in Full Screen. This way you do not even need to start the application.

Or you can also create a button "Toggle Full Screen" in the Widget Designer. This will send all clients to Full Screen as well.

Not starting in full screen of the client in Rev 3694 is a known problem and is solved in the next versions.

luken is right, I just mixed up the internal beta I have in my computer. On this version it is running fine. I hope that we will be able to release the new version soon.

But anyway you can use either the PB Menue or the Widget Designer to workaround this issue. Both is free for download here.

The ones here start up in full screen mode with no problem. You just have to wait about 20 seconds ;]

Mine doesn't. I had it set for 30 sec delay, and then it starts in window mode. That's all it does.
I'll check out the tips the others gave in previous replies later one, if I have the time.

I tried the Widget designer to create a toggle fullscreen button for the 15 players, going from IP adres 192.168.1.1 to ...15.

Actually I have no idea how to do this.
Is it very complicated to tell me how it works? If not, could someone please tell me how to do this?

Very easy:
- start the widget designer
- right click in the screen
- click on Create - Button - Custom Script
- click in the screen where you want to place the button
- place the mouse cursor over this button
- right mouse click
- item properties
- Command: select in the list "ToggleFullScreen,SiteID
- replace SiteID by the ID of the client you want to place in full screen, for example ToggleFullScreen,1
- click on Add in the "On Click Script"
- add an extra line for each client:
ToggleFullScreen,1
ToggleFullScreen,2
ToggleFullScreen,3
.....
- Click on OK
- click now on the button and the will switch to full screen or our full screen
