Player Client 'Startup' folder shortcut

Postby Linton9 » Sun Dec 20, 2009 3:05 pm

When I place the MediaPlayer client in the startup folder and start a machine, the machine boots normally into windows but the displays the error:-
ERROR 1009: CANNOT OPEN HASP HL DRIVERS

The problem is fixed and PB boots into client mode if I double click as usual on the client icon.

So I cannot start client automatically on bootup, because of that error...

Is there a solution?

Hi,

the Problem is that windows will load the Pandoras Box application before it will load up the HASP Dirvers.

There are two different ways to deal with that. The one way would be to create a "Startup" Button with the Widget Designer.

The second and more easy way is to install the PB Menue Software to that computer. You can download here:

viewtopic.php?f=73&t=488

One you installed this Software you will have the Coolux onscreen Menue instead of the windows view after bootup. Now if you go to "Service" and ther to "versions" you can choose the software you want to start. And there is a check box for "Auto Start" as well. Using this will boot the system all the way thru into either the client or the master of you Pandoras Box installation, regarding the choosen version.

best regards

Patrick

Hi,

Have just installed the PB Menu on one of our players.
At this point I should clarify that this machine does not have a built in LCD display.

The menu does not automatically load with windows.

Do we have to put something in the windows startup folder still?
Such as 'c:\system\lcd_menu\PB_Menu.exe' ??

Cheers

Hi Linton,

yes, exactly! Please create a shortcut of this PBMenu.exe-file and put it into autostart.

Best regards,
