Rotate object

Postby BrechtNovid » Fri Jan 15, 2010 11:22 am

Hi,

I would like to know what I have to do in order to rotate an object (in my case a video file). Actually I have my videowall turned by 90 degrees, so I have to do the same thing with my video. I know what to do to turn the file, but is there any way how I can be shure that I turned/rotated by 90 degrees? If I move the fader all the way up the file keeps on spinning, but I just want to keep it in the 90 degree flipped position.

It is kinda difficult to explain myself clearly, but I you someone understands what I mean.

Thanks!

Hi,

you explained it well, don´t mind!

A full rotation (360°) is done by adding / substracting 8196 values.
To get 180° add / substract 4096 values.
To get 90° add / substract 2048 values.

After two full static rotations (in every direction) a constant rotation will start.

Best regards,
Julia

Just a thought..

If your videoscreen is rotated permanently, you could rotate the camera(z-rot).
Now you dont have to rotate every videoclip and all layers.

Hi all,

to get an idea of how much to increase / decrease the values of X, Y and Z scale to get defined scalings, see this chart:

Scaling
400% = +9876 values
200% = + 4938 values
150% = +2469 values
100% = +/ 0 values
75% = -2469 values
50% = -4938 values
25% = -9876 values

Best regards,
Julia
