DVI-D to SDI acquire question

Postby alverman » Thu Apr 14, 2011 3:13 pm

Hello everyone,
I'm thinking about buying a card with two SDI Blackmagic SDI inputs.
My purpose, however, is also to be able to get DVI-D sources.
I then decided to buy a signal converter from DVI-D to SDI but I can not find anything.
I therefore ask if anyone has had similar experiences and results you got.
I state that I have a card that captures both datapath composite vga but the quality does not satisfy me.

Thanks for the help

Alberto

I have those cards in my machines, I am very happy with them.

What I am using to convert ANY signal to HD-SDI to put into that card is the Folosm Image Pro.

It is expensive yes, but will take any PAL, NTSC, progressive or interlaced signal and change it to what ever SDI signal I need - and it does it (scaled or not) with less than half a frame of delay.

I don't know if DVI - SDI converters exist, if they do, I don't know if you'd get more of a delay from them or not.

I hope this helps.

Have any of you tried this converter connected to a video capture card SDI?

Quality?

Thanks, Alberto
