Screen tearing effect

Hello,

Sometimes we've this screen tearing problem. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screen_tearing
This happens on different machines. Some of them have a NVidia card (Geforce 9800GT) installed and others a AMD 6950 eyefinity card . This problem also occurs 'outside' the Coolux player software while using the windows media player or using the capture cards preview software from BlackMagic.
I've tried different things. Enabling / disabling vsync, enabling / disabling Windows aero theme, setting the windows visual effects to best performance. Changed the graphic cards drivers, etc, without any success.
Anyone any idea how to eliminate this effect?
Changing the refresh rate from the graphic card to 75Hz or higher? We're now running on 50 or 60 Hz.

Kind regards

Rogier

What display medium are using when you notice this effect (monitor/projector) and also what kind of input is that output medium accepting (VGA, DVI, HDMI).

The only time I have seen this is using a projector with a slow refresh rate and using a cat5 extender.

Try another form of output and see if this is still being experienced.
