yesterday I solved a very strange problem with a PB Media Manager installed on HP6830s Laptop.
The setup: One grandMA Ultra-Light console triggering via ARTNet one PB MEDIA MANAGER LT Laptop with 3 Servers LT in session and one Laptop for WIDGET DESIGNER connected by HP ProCurve2626 LanSwitch.
The problem: Triggering 16 bit parameters of servers from the console I saw that wasn't fluent and smooth. For example I programmed a simple movement of one layer from right to left of the screen (2 cues) and the result was that the content made the movement in a lot of little skips so NOT fluent.
After a lot of checks I thought that there was a problem in the Network Card on the Laptop and I was right! On HP6830s is installed one Marvell Yukon Lan Interface so I upgraded drivers to the new version v10.69.2.3 but the problem still remains. Calling HP call center I got knowledge that the problem can be fixed upgradin the BIOS to the new version...
NOW THE NETWORK WORKS VERY WELL!!!
....so guys keep in mind the BIOS upgrade.... Strange but true...
