Switcher recommendation

I'm looking for a device to switch between

1) PB system (running from a laptop 1920x1080 60p
2) Backup system: Macbook Pro running PlaybackProPlus 1920x1080 60p

I need it to be very compact, since it's going to fit in a pelicase containing those computers together with all required accessories.

Does anybody have experience with the Kramer VM-22H? I can't find any information int the specs about supported formats. Whether it's only HDMI broadcast compliant (1080i/50 1080i/60) or if it will take and route a full progressive computer signal like 1920x1080 60p.

I had the Panasonic HS50 in my mind, until I tried to feed a Panasonic HS410 through a Blackmagic DVI-extender with no luck. Either it's terribly choppy or will not show any signal at all.

The Roland looks very promising. However I read it's only 422 8bit processing... I'm worried the fine gradients in my RGB material will suffer even more banding when converted from RGB. How is your experience with quality?

I have the unit too short to comment on this, i have to test this.

Where are you from? In the netherlands (where i come from) you can rent it fairly cheep to test it (before you maybe buy it).

I've been exploring the Barco PDS-902-3G units lately. They are very simple, 1U, have preview and program busses and xfade when they take.

yeah I've used the PDS902 a lot. It's great for what it is. Really easy to control from Widget / timeline too :D
