Macbook Pro

Postby Linton9 » Sun Aug 29, 2010 4:09 am

Is anyone running Player Pro on a Macbook pro under bootcamp?

Specs below should be more than satisfactory...

2.4GHz Intel Core i5
4GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB
128GB Solid State Drive
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M with 256 MB

Looking at this for a tour, given the portability of a laptop vs 19" Rackmount PC

The specs look alright... keep in mind though that the video card may not allow you to output to a "Pro" source.
I have hooked up a Macbook Pro to a Folsum Image Pro, or to a Barco Projector, it will not allow anything to be played on screen, something about a problem with copyright and EDID...
I had to adapt to VGA and go out conponent into an image pro to convert up to DVI.

Just FYI... try it out on a Macbook before you buy one for that if you can...

If thats the only problem we should be able to control the EDID with a Parrot...
