For a project managed by Hans-Joerg Halbartschlager on behalf of Munich-One http://www.munich-one.com Guido Gesell, Andree Verleger (Art Director) http://www.andree-verleger.com and Uwe Malorny http://www.congaz.de approached coolux to evaluate the possibilities of a projection onto a full sized car for a corporate show.
The setup was a curved back wall and the car.
Before going on the job TLD, resonsible for the technical planing and installation prepared a full test setup to check both the setup time and see the first results of the video files, so that the client could get an idea how the final result would look like.
Right from the beginning it was clear that besides animated images the grafic design Team arrounf Uwe Malorny http://www.congaz.de wanted to be able to project also the reflections of the backwall onto the car as well.
During the test we used a special 3D mapping technique to get the warping done in a very short amount of time, this way the time schedule got down to three nights for fine tuning on location.
A few weeks later the setup was then realized onsite in Beijing in a single night and all other time was well spend on content editing and programming for the show.
Thanks to the great support of the Team of http://www.munich-one.com, TLD this job went very well and had a great impact on the audience.
