Controlling multi-touch applications with AirScan

Postby RTuinte » Mon Apr 04, 2011 9:25 am

I'm wondering if there is a way to control existing multi-touch applications like the applications which are delivered with the "Microsoft Touch Pack for Windows 7" with the AirScan?
Normally you need a proper multi-touch driver for it.
Since there is no driver for the airscan I'm wondering if we can do this with the widget designer which emulates multi-touch.
There is a mouse output node, but not something like a multi-touch output node.

Kind regards,

Hi Rogier,

I'm sorry, as there is no Multitouch-Driver for the Airscan (it is delivering position-data that is going to be evaluated within WD) other applications can't use the Airscan by default like Multitouch devices delivered with the Microsoft Touch Pack.
You could use the Airscan (via the WD) to control the mouse of your computer - but this is only single-point. You won't be able to transfer Multipoints from the WD to other standard applications.

Best regards,
