Calibrating the Airscan.

Whould be nice to have a calibration option for the Airscan. Instead of changing the values of the active region by hand, some kind of a wizard like the calibrating tools for a ‘normal’ touch screen?
First select the left bottom corner, then the right bottom corner, right top corner and finally the left top corner.

Hi

I tried it. But after calibrating there were no preset values in the airscantool menu on the left anymore.
How does it work?

Hi Ruben,

which Revision did you use? Within the next Rev there will be many more things be available and/or will be are optimized in the AIrScan.
Normally you have to touch the lower right edge, click Point 1, upper left, click Point 2 and then calibrate. This will preset your settings and you can fine adjust everything you want.

Hi Markus,

This calibrating works only when having the safe region already set up I think, is that true?
And there shoudn't be any object inbetween the scanning area of the safe region?

Does your instructions work when using the scanner on the floor or on the roof (up or upside down)

Hi!

If the safe zone is smaller than the new active region, there can be a problem, yes.
Having an object in the calibration zone will provide data so that WD doesn't know if it is an object or your hand.

As far as I know the calibration needs only 2 points to calculate all 4 edges. So it doesn't depend on which side you start the calibration or if the Airscan is up or upside down.
