Specs for WD 3.0 Computer

Hi,

We would like to buy a 19 inch. computer for Widget designer.
Beside the normal patching, we would like to use some thirt party hardware (distance/motion sensors), communicating with Widget Designer via serial/utp.
What kind of computer would you guys advise?

And what would be needed extra when we will use camera-point tracking with a 1280X1024 ccd camera?

Hi,

these are our recommended system hardware specifications for all Pandoras Box Player and Manager:
Windows XP - Professional version or Windows 7 64Bit Professional, CPU Intel Xeon 2,4 GHz or higher, 2 GB RAM or higher, Graphic Card Nvidia GTX 470, RAID 1 , DirectX 9, Pixel Shader/Vertex Shader 2.0, 500MB free hard disc space, hard disc with minimum 7200 RPM.

These specs are basically fine to run the Widget Designer as well. But here it always depends on what you are going to do with the WD:
For simple controlling of several parameters of PB it is very fine. If you enhance your WD project up to pages full of nodes you need a lot of processing power.

When camera tracking is going to be set up you will need a fast CPU, eg. an i7. A good graphicscard helps to reduce the work of the processor as well.
