I've been using motion detectors, but I can not figure out how to use layers and on what parameters to use.
You can create this effect with a pro player and manager lt?
Help please

Hi!

I think this is just an IR-Camera tracking combined with / as a mask which will become transparent on this exact position.

Looking like the node motion detection works would seem that it might work with a telecamera normal.
The node leaves the values x and y.

Hi!

Of course, there are always several ways to reach an effect.
I can't tell you how they really solved it, as we haven't been involved in this demo.

Motion detection can be a way as well as the motion mask. The motion mask will provide this typical clouded outlines around the light beam.

But if I put on layer 1 and put an image on the layer opacity to 255 and 2 put a picture all black with
a circle of transparency and opacity to 255 I only see the image of layer 2.

I thought to see portion of layer 1 in the circle !!

Hi Alberto,
you don't have to put a black picture on layer 2 but the DVI live input of Widget's motion mask tool. The background of this capture is black and the mask become white when you pass through the cam, so you could use white key or black key to discover the first layer.

Greetings ;)

Alverman,

are you saying that the image with transparency is not showing you the part of the layer behind? Did I got this right?

Which file format did you use? Keep in mind, that neither JPEG nor BMP are supporting transparency within the image. Use PNG or TGA to deal with transparency.
Is your layer composition wrong in any way? Z-Pos or your camera position that you can't see the background?
What are you seeing in total? Is the transparency area white?

The mask I use is a PNG. Before it did not work ..... now ok.
I saw that it would be more suitable to use 'Camera Point Traking' but I can not find how to use the node.
Setting values in tool 'Camera Point Traking' but in the relative node does not see the values change.

Why?

Thanks, Alverman

Hi!

I combined the "camera point tracker" with the "add relative"-node for the x-Pos of the Tracker. Everything works right at my end.
Are you maybe stuck in the move/edit mode, which will disable the update of the nodes?

Hi!

You have to set the input-node to ID1 (you are currently using 0 which is not present), referencing your first tracked point. If you want to get the information of point 2, you have to set the node to ID 2.
