SMS Message check

Postby koenv » Fri Jul 22, 2011 10:11 pm

The SMS feature I want to use at an event. Users can then SMS to the LED screens.
Now I want to check a text message before it is visible. Of course it brought me many words added to the blacklist but this is not usable. Unwanted messages can still appear on the screen.

The possibility of the "SMS Settings" screen to remove messages is too small and unpractical to properly work with.
It is also possible that messages might appear on the screen.

How can I text an easy way to check and continue to the screen without retyping.

Hi Koenv,

see attached an example how you could route SMS input to PB.
In this example there is a button click needed to confirm the SMS.

It is done via Dummy-SMS (see SMS tool).

I hope this is what you wanted to have.

Best regards,
Julia

Hi julia,

Yes this is a nice function.
Thanks for your support.

Is it possible to make a buffer with all accepted messages? The buffer can be read-out random to send text to PB.
So when receiving a lot of SMS messages i can add them to the buffer after checking.

Hi,
do you want to route the different SMS-messages to ONE PB Text asset - so that always max. 1 message is shown on the screen?

Greetings,
Julia

Hi Koen V,

Can you tell me which device you use for getting sms into widget designer.
Do you use a normal mobile phone or some kind of modem?

Hi rubendesnoo,

I use a USB UMTS dongle with simcard.
The simcard is a prepay-ed number, so i don't have motley costs for using a number
