hi all

i simply try to send a mesage on a comport. i connected a string variable to the com port but there is nothing in the drop down list...

am i doing something wrong?

Hi Chriss,

if-cases are always only valid for integer variables. If you want to compare a text you have to use a text compare node.
If the value of the string variable is the same or part of the comparison in the text nodes, you can use the state of it to trigger the Com-Send-Node.

Otherwise use the script (maybe in a script output node or just single) "ComSend" to send the message you want.
