Widget Designer with FX

Postby craigreilly » Thu Mar 01, 2012 12:23 am

On a DualServer, I have 2 images side by side filling an area, i.e.: 3840x1920.
The surface is a moving wall.
Without using TrackScan - can I use WD Pro to crop these 2 images as the wall "opens"

| WALL 1 <-- CROP || CROP --> WALL 2 |

Thanks in advance.

Hi Craig,
there are several ways and sensors, to achieve that. How do you tell WD that the wall opens and how fast the two parts move? or is *that* the point you are actually asking?

i think we got it figured out. We were using Crop Edges|Right on one fader and Crop Edges|Left on another fader in WD Pro. The problem was not changing the MAx value to 65535 - so it was moving just 255 pixels. It was working we couldn't see it.
Then we added a button to change both WD Faders (#1 and #2) to FadeUp or Down over 10 seconds. The timing will be critical... but we'll get it.

We set 2 faders to control the output layers so it would not matter what layer we were on - anything would crop when we needed it to.

to close
WDFaderAbortFade,1
WDFaderAbortFade,2
WDFaderDown,1,10
WDFaderDown,2,10

to open
WDFaderAbortFade,1
WDFaderAbortFade,2
WDFaderUp,1,10
WDFaderUp,2,10
