Widget designer Pro "Counter Node" Reset

Postby cyberears » Tue Apr 10, 2012 4:37 pm

Is there such a thing as a Counter Reset ? ( lets say i wanted to Stop the counter or Reset it ?)
if not it would greatly be appreciated to have a "Reset" counter option to be able to programmatically reset it to 0 or base value

Hi,

unfortunately there is nothing like a reset at the moment. I will forward this request for you.

In the meantime you can maybe think about using this script as a workaround:
WDNodeSetParam,'NodeID','ParamID','Value'

Set the Range to zero and back to your original one instantly. Maybe add a WDWait,0.1 in between to ensure the reset for a little time.
As I have not tested it (it was just a quick idea), please let me know if this makes sense and works for you.

Thank you very much i will try this and will advise

i tried to affect some of the parameters of that control later on , but didn't think 0.00 would be acceptable since the minimum Range cannot be set to 0 from the dialog box .

will try also with the Wait function.

Hi!

One more addition:
Setting the range via script to zero will as well let this value jump to 1. This helps as a reset whenever your actual state is larger than 1.
For having a reset button as well for values under 1, set the Range to 0.00001. This gives you the possibility to always reset your counter.
