Script: "PlaySound" error

Hi,

I made a customscript button with the message:
PlaySound,C:\song

Also I dit place a wav-file named: 'song'.

But this does not seem to work, am I doing something wrong maybe?

Hi Ruben,

using a wav-file would be the best as the MP3 (MPEG) codec is registered and used within PB.
Please try with:

PlaySound,C:\song.wav

You need to make sure which of multiple possible files (.wav / .mp3 / .doc) in your directory shall be used.

I'm having a similar problem, any suggestions...?

I'm trying to use a windows sound [from the media folder, to test] copied to the root [C:\]

Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi Nick,

as we figured out on the phone, your file was not a PCM wave file.
The windows sound c:\windows\tada.wav is always a good reference.
