Creating a playlist

Postby Bizzy » Fri Apr 27, 2012 7:53 pm

Hi,

How can I make a widget that my customer can create a playlist.
The customer has to select 4 files of the 9,
when he has selected the files they should play in that order.

Is there a way that I can change the jump time of a jump que. This would solve the problem.

I hope that there's an answer

Hi Bizzy,

within the actual release there is no way to change the jump target.
There will be the script "SeqSetCueJumpTime,..." within the next release.

Besides that, you will find a new feature called Playlist within the release. Within, you can easily remote your master device with adding files and dragging them into a cuelist. Furthermore you can select jumps and blending times to automatically and easily create a playlist.

Stay tuned for the upcoming release.

Hi Bizzy,
just an idea if you need that feature already now... there are two scripts which could help you
SeqContentAtTime,'SiteID',DevID,'SeqID','HH','MM','SS','FF','FolderID','FileID'
and
SeqStoreActiveToTime,'SeqID','HH','MM','SS','FF'

for example the second script in combination with the tool "Media Control" could be an easy solution: if you create 4 Media Controls each showing the 9 medias to choose from you could assign SeqStoreActiveToTime,1,00,00,05,00 to the first control and SeqStoreActiveToTime,1,00,00,15,00 to the second one and so on (all as the "On Button Mouse Up"-script). Thus you choose the first clip and save it to the first time point, then you choose the second clip and save it to the second time point then the third and forth, you could as well change the first again
but that would require the same length for all the media snippets. Don´t know if that is feasible?!

Thanks for the reply's

I thought about that to, but the media files aren't from the same length. So I can't use that option.

I'll try to find a solution tomorrow.
