COM Input Node

Postby cbrowne » Wed Sep 26, 2012 3:47 am

Hi,
I'm trying to create a com input node and use the BYTE command.
Basically i want to filter the incoming string and retreive one 4 byte integer for use as a pixel position from an encoder.

But i cant work out the what i need to send to the com port, and how to set up the node!

What i'm sending at the moment is:
| Header | Data Length | Data Type | Data
STX + "A" + 0001 + 1 + 0001

In the Header box ive got
[h02 h41]

If i change to ASCII with a header of [h02] i can see the 'A' so i know the com port is set up correctly ;-)

Any ideas?

Hi!

Do you have any ETX command or anything else to stop the string again?
As you can type in as well the Split and Stop bytes into the Byte "Header", you could define the stop as well.

Does this help?

Are you receiving nothing in the output if set to byte?
