WD crashes on win7 32bit

Hey,

Since a short period WD won't start anymore on this PC. I am not shure what has happened.
WD always worked perfectly; no crashes whatsoever. I made various widgets on this machine, now nothing is possible anymore....
Is there somebody who has an idea how this happened? has it got something to do with an update on the windows side....


I tried different version, they all crash, even after reinstall.... The windows error report just tells me that there is a problem which caused the program to stop working correctly and that it needs to close.

If anybody has an idea please tell me.

Machine is an Acer Aspire 5940G, (coreI71,6ghz,1333 fsb mhz, 4gb ram, ATI mobility HD4650, 500 gb ram) running windows 7 32bit version service pack 1

Hi Maarten,

are you running Pandoras Box V5.1?
If so, you need to update to the Widget Revision 249G in order to get it running.

There is no known issue on Widget Designer Startup crashes so it would be nice if you could provide a little more information on your Revisions. From WD and PB.
As well it would be nice to know where the Widget crashes. Is it right after the splash screen or is it opening completely at first?

Hi Markus,

Since i was running PB manager v4.7 r6418 i thought WD 178 or 215 would still work.
But since our dongle is updated to v5, this logic isn't correct anymore i notice now, cause indeed running WD 249G does the trick!

Hi,

I have on my laptop WIN7 home premium 32 bit.
I have loaded WD ULT 4.0 rev 418.
When i start first in the middle of the screen appears a normal window.
When it is comletely open with the gray backgroud and the toolbar in the top of the screen, immedial.. there is a popup in the middle of the screen who tells me : unable to load DLL: 'Pandoras Automation.dll' exeption from HRESULT: 0x8007007E

I reinstall it all buth the same problem.

any help would be welcome

Hi Dominique,

did you install all .Net-versions and C++-redistributables?
The easiest way would be to run a Pandoras Installation until it questions the dongle. At this moment you can skip the installation and you will have all necessary components installed.

Does this fix the error?

A quick note from "MEGALIGHT" via Email:
The Virusscan AVG did isolate a DLL. Removing the virusscan did solve the problem.

Please have a look at it, I am sure you find one virus program that does not think the Automation dll is harmful
