AKAI APC40 crossfader

Postby juay0004 » Tue Jan 15, 2013 4:44 pm

Hi,

Has anybody got any idea how to use the cross fader at the bottom right hand corner on the AKAI APC40 to implement a crossfade between two layers.
I am referring to the template/control that is provided in the WD.

Hi,

I suggest you set up the crossfader to control the first layer (see screenshot, red box) and use the node system to invert the first layer's opacity to control the second layer.

Hi Juay,

I'm sorry but I don't have any alternative right now. Maybe anyone else? :)

Best Regards

If you create a Fader in WD, then using Nodes attach the fader for the AKAI APC40 to it.

You can then assign a Layer for the Main Value in the WD Fader Properties.
You then can assign a different Layer for the Inverse Value of that WD Fader.

Pay/ask/beg someone else to make it for you. Nodes will run in standard. You just won't be able to change them.

Widget Pro is awesome. Well worth the investment if you get the chance.

Thanks for the advice guys. Looks like I have to stick with using 2 separate faders on the controller until my company invest in Widget Pro.
