Random Media Panel Select

Hello,

I'm looking for assistance, advice, ideas with a project,

I need to create a 'randomly' selected piece of media & push to a device (ideally from media panel),

I would then like to be able to go to another media panel (with different) & again randomly select another piece of media (with the same input device)

I'll be using a wii remote as an input - i.e button A would select/push/trigger the random selection in the media panel, which in turn will push the media to a device,

I have quite a large number of media which is why I'm going for the media panel but if I have to then I'll look at creating Custom script buttons for each (there will just be a number pages involved)

Is this possible?

Hi,

Using the WD Pro/Ult you can create a Random Node that will give you a random value of your choise.
In Pandoras Box you need to assign DMX folder and file IDs. Then you can use both with the script DeviceSetMedia,SiteID,DeviceID,FolderID,FileID

A Media Panel is for direct operation, so you would not need it if you only want to assign media by the remote trigger.
