Character Or Pixel Counter

I've got a show coming up where I have 7 or 8 different users using a section of a long video wall - like a ticker in a stadium - very wide but very short.

I have built (am building) a Widget where the individual users can type in custom lines of text - up to 3 - and also change how long each line of text is up for.
I am using the "WDTextboxConvertToHorizontalScrolltextPNG" script the and "ResourceReloadMedia" to scroll and update the text in PB.
I have set all of the layers that these will be on to Vertical Fit so that the size will always be the same... but the scroll speed will be different all the time.

I would love either (or both) the ability to count the characters of a text box, and / or the total pixels in WD to be able to adjust the speed using a range node and so on.

VGetAssetMediaWidthByName,VarName,AssetName

When using the VGetAssetMedia* functions you might call "PBProjectRefresh" before retrieving values.
