Hi,

in the Media Control you do not need to run a script command to load the file onto a layer.
In the Top Field you can set the Device you want to control. Just type the Device Number and the Layer Number in there, like 1,1 for Device 1 and Layer 1.
If you now press one of the video buttons the video will be loaded onto that layer.

The script commands are only as an option to add aditional commands to that controls.

I hope that helps you.

Best regards

Patrick

Hi yossi,

Here is a quick tutorial on how to get the Thumbnails to your Media Control Panel:

a) Load Content into your Player and give it DMX IDs
b) Turn on CITP in your Player under the Configuration TAB
c) make sure your WD is in the same Network as your Player (same IP Range: e.g. 2.0.0.x)
d) Tell the WD the IP and Domain of the Player / Manager Computer (under IP Configuration)
e) Download Thumbnails from Player

If everything worked like it is suposed to you can now Browse your Thumnails

If your are working with WD Standart Rev 86 or higher you can change the Device, Folder and Index using Scripts.

WDMediaPanelSetDevices,'PanelID','Devices'
WDMediaPanelSetFolder,'PanelID','Folder'
WDMediaPanelSetIndex,'PanelID','Index'

Hi,

to get the thumbnails into the media control panel you need to run CITP first.
So you need to go to the configuration tab in the Player and set the CITP Thumbnail Exchange to run. (only from Version 4.5 or higher)
And you also need to set DMX Folder and File IDs to all your content.
Now you need to get the thumbnails into the widget designer. For that you neet to do a right mouse click in the normal window and select "ip configuration". In there you find a button "download thumbnails". if you press this one it will take all content from your project and creates thumbnails for the widget designer. They are sorted from the set folder and file id from you Player project.

If you now create a Media Control you can choose the folder from a drop down menue and it will show all thumbnails from that folder. If you want to load a clip onto a layer you just need to click onto the thumbnail.

If you want to control more than one device with one panel just add more decives to the top list, like 1,1 1,2 1,3 for layer 1 to 3.

The Pandoras Box Helpfile gives you already a lot of information on the Widget Designer. We are working on a new helpfile with all the new features of the Widget Designer, I hope it will be out in March.

We also do offer Widget Designer Trainings in Germany. I know its not that close to Israel, but maybe you have a chance to come to germany to attend a training.

If you have further questions, just let us know.

Best wishes

Patrick

Hi Yossi,

if you never used Version 4 or higher with your Player Dongle we need to update your Dongle before you can run 4.5. But its true, with Version 3 we are not able to run CITP and so the Media Panel does not work.

But there are anyway tons of new great features in the new Version.

If you want to update your Dongle please send an mail to support@coolux.de and we will send you the needed programm and an instruction.

best regards

Hey Yossi,

I figure Patrick solved your issue, but I was struggling with a similar issue and maybe someone else is having the same problem.

My issue turned out to be that I was placing number 1 as the 'Folder ID:' - BUT, the properties load with 000 for a reason. You have to use the 001 notation not just 1

You still have to do all the other stuff described in the thread, but avoid my dumb mistake.
