Swipe command?

Postby frozenwaffles » Mon May 12, 2014 1:01 am

Hi, so using airscan I would like a presenter to be able to 'swipe' on the screen to the right for slide advance and swipe to the left to go back in a slide deck...
now I would like widget designer to send a command to PowerPoint or Keynote...is this possible?
the presentation would be shown through the DVI input card on my Server LT.

Hi Jeremy,

Have a look at PB Spark (download available under system tools),
It allows you to send keystroke commands to a computer via manager, check out the help file.
I generally create dedicated sequence in manager with commands (with cue points) then a button in widget with SeqGotoCue,SeqID,CueID script & push the command that way, it's pretty solid.
Powerpoint/Keynote machine has to be on network & running PB spark.

How to translate the airscan data to trigger the keystrokes (or cues) will be the challenge.

Hope that helps

Cheers

Hello, thanks for the tips Aaron. yeah I've worked out that Spark is the magic to get the presentation laptop to respond...will let you know how I go with my findings :)

Hi,

to make spark working on a mac is on the list for a long time already, but unfortunately it brings up a lot of issue and we could not solve those until today.

Regarding to this article http://www.theguardian.com/technology/b ... skeynoteon there is web based keynote clone which should run on Windows.

The other idea, not very nice, but working: setup a Windows computer with spark and vnc which is connected to a Mac running Keynote. You basically only need to force a mouse click on the VNC to go to the next slide.

Hope that helps

Patrick
