Hello,

What are the problems you're facing? Is it laggy/stuttering?
mp4 (mpeg 4) Videos use more processing power to be decoded, thats why they can perform poorer than mpeg2. It really depends on the resolution and bitrate used. At which is your video encoded?

If you want inter-machine sync (multi-machine sync) you have to discard the audio in the mp4 file when using it.

We use QuickTime for decoding the mpeg4 files. This sometimes leads to problems when using a "bad" version.

Hello,

We use QuickTime for decoding the mpeg4 files, so you have to install QuickTime.

Hi dennis,

Is quicktime (free) enough, or is quicktime PRO needed?
And is this the same for using the manager Encoder ?

The free version is just fine.

I don't believe the PRO version of Quicktime will actually give you any more codecs.
