layer freeze or realtime nowpointer vs. preview nowpointer

Postby matze » Fri Apr 25, 2014 7:18 am

very long time ago i asked for some kind of layer freeze to be able to send a image (like a testpattern or neutral still) to the projector while programming. anyone of the coolux staff told me of a kind of program nowpointer and preview nowpointer as a feature in the future. whats the status with that?

Hi Matze,

it is still on the list but will not be implemented in Rev 5.5 or 5.7. Sorry.
The feature will be implemented together with some other bigger changes, but I do not know when it will happen. Only that it will.

the other option would be the option to "park" a client. I did send that as a feature wish already, but unfortunately it had not been implemented yet.

My workaround: unplug the network cable of the manager, this will make the clients stay on the last output until reconnected. You could also change the IP address of the client, but this is not very fast if you run a lot of clients. A Widget button becomes quite helpful for that.....

Cheers

What you can also do is change backup mode in the manager to "backup". Later on you can "take over all sites in domain" to regain control.
