Phidget Not Connecting

Postby Brett2012 » Fri Feb 17, 2023 12:07 am

Hello,
I have a Phidget HUB0001_0 and I am trying to connect it to WD.
I can see that the hub is working in phidget control panel and I can see the inputs working in there but when I exit this and launch WD it does not show up.
I am adding it as a digital input in the devices section. I can add the module but in the drop down to select the serial number nothing shows up.

Windows 10 up to date
WD up to date

Thoughts?

Hi,

I assume the hub is not locally connected, but over the network.
If this is the case you also need to add a Phidget Server and enter the IP of the hub.
https://www.christiepandorasbox.com/roo ... server.htm

Now you will have a connection to all the devices connected to that IP.
If you have more than one hub, just create a device for every one of them.

You can also access usb devices connected to another computer that way.

Thanks but it's locally connected via USB.

Figured it out... I think, You have to run the serer locally and then add them to WD that way, seems like an extra step but it is connected.
