there won't be a plug-in for Maya or Cinema 4d in the next time.
Please note: you just need to get .x files (DirectX Files) out of your 3D software, there is no special .clx file ending necessary for the objects.
Getting x-files out of
CINEMA 4DThere is a DirectX exporter within Cinema4D. We can't either tell you where to find it nor how to configure it as we are not using Cinema4D.
But we know that there is definitely a way to it. What is important is that you have assigned a uvw-mapping on your object in this .x-file.
Other customers of us are doing a way around it by exporting from Cinema to 3Dmax.
MAYAHere I found a x-file exporter for maya:
