Hi again,

we have already made good experiences on Think Logical in many installations as well.

Another product I have recently used for a triple Softedge-active-3D application with pixel-synced outputs is the Photon-X fibre transmitter from PlusMusic:
http://www.photon-x.ch
Here you can set the EDID to transparent or select different pre-installed EDIDs as well.

The Dvi cables are designed to carry digital-only signals from a graphics card to a display. If we have the requirement of interfacing two digital only devices, then we should use a DVI-D cable. The cables are configured for single or dual link operation, and use super high resolution(24 gauge wire)cables, while most consumer-grade DVI cables use smaller, 28 guage wire. The limits consumer-grade cables to lower resolutions and distances of less than 5 meters. The maximum recommended resolution is listed with each cable length, however all cable lengths support up to o 1920x1200 resolution at 60Hz with the usage of the DVI repeater.

I also can say that my experiences with products from "spatz" (http://www.spatz-tech.com) were always good!
i have driven a 1080p60 signal through a 50m (164ft) dvi cable.
also their fibre products are very good and affordable! never had edid problems with spatz products!

Hi everybody

The fiber extender PhotonX, which was mentioned by Markus, has an integrated EDID manager. Therewith it is possible to either let EDID pass through, or to emulate several EDID presets, or to even save EDID data from a screen and emulate this saved EDID.

For more information visit http://www.photon-x.ch.
