BPM counter

Postby pieterhu » Thu Aug 29, 2013 2:05 pm

I'd like to calculate the BPM of an incoming audio source.
I was thinking of an audio processor node of which the audio peaks are counted above a certain treshold level, but maybe there is an easier way to do this?

I've been meaning to make this for a while.

While making the BPM part of it is relatively simple - just a bit of math - the auto BPM one is kind of hard.

This attached Widget is dialed in for "Dance" kind of music with a heavy base line.

There is an "auto gain" and an "Audio" button - these work with the auto BPM.

If that isn't working for you, then there is always the Tap to SYNC button that can get you there.

I have also labeled all of the buttons in anyone needs to make any changes.

What are you looking to use this for?
I'm only curious.

Cheers,
