Layer Capture?

Postby frozenwaffles » Sat Oct 26, 2013 9:29 am

hello people :)
I would like to know if its possible to take a 'screen shot' of a layer or output of a server/player (not the WD computer) and then have this image file saved to a certain directory on a network?
I can see how you can capture a window or region of WD, but I need it of a layer from the Pandora's Box output...
I also need the file name to auto increment each time an image is captured.
the image capture will be triggered by a 'button push' on the screen via AirScan.

hi Jeremy,
we are making something similar in a road show right now,
we are using a datapath hdsdi dual input for take a screenshot of the face of a quiz winner inside a folk...ecc..ecc...
why you don't use a hdsdi input board for see in your wd your server output?!
and than you can use " image loader" for send to the server your region screenshot
i known this is banal.....
but i hope this can help
( write more about your goal...)
kind regards

I am trying to achieve a very similar thing at the moment.

What I need to do is, input a screenshot name, press a button to take a screenshot as many times as I like and the screenshot filename will increment for each press.

I'm using 2 displays on my master manager where the WD is running. I am running the output preview in fullscreen on one of the displays anyway so I can screenshot from there.

If someone has done this before or has an elegant solution I would be very thankful!
